The IPSec service on the VPN device experienced a SIGABRT event that triggered a crash. The on-call DevOps engineer was alerted of the outage and restarted the IPSec service on the VPN device. This remediated the issue. The outage lasted from 7:55 AM to 8:23 AM EST. This incident is identical to the one that occurred a week ago. We've determined that a change to implement IPSec log retention was the cause of the crashes in both cases. We've disabled to logging while we investigate and test potential solutions.
